I wish if there was a big zero star to use it to express how this agency is a big failure. ALL TENANTS BEWARE OF THIS AGENCY.

Renters beware. This place is run by bandits, property managers are complete liars and theives, property left in better condition than when moved in and seems im not the only one. Do not trust these bandits.

I had Seachange manage my property, with fantastic tenants, for about 3 years. In the last year I had 3 different managers. I don't know why. With the latest change of managers there was a handover of a small issue in the house - to arrange a quote from the Seachange handyman to tend to some flaking wall paint and crack in the cornice. I never heard anything about it again from Seachange although it was them who had reported it in a quarterly inspection. I decided not to follow up on this with them because I decided to try to sell the property instead. Recently, my property was on the market with an external agent and the tenants were happy to oblige with home opens and dealing with my selling agent - they even asked him to be a referee for their next rental. They were great tenants. When their lease expired, the first I learned that they were intending to move out, was from my selling agent when he went to host a home open and the tenants had started packing boxes. Yes - my Seachange property manager had not even informed me that they were not renewing their tenancy. Since they had already started packing boxes, and had secured a new rental property, I had no opportunity to negotiate with them to stay for a reduced rent. Now I am in the financially difficult position of having a vacant house on the sales market with no rental income. I don't know whether the tenants would've stayed had I've had the opportunity to negotiate with them, but I never will know. Communication is the key, and what you want from a property manager who you pay your hard-earned money to and expect to act in your (and your tenants') best interest, however in the end I did not get it from Seachange. Now I am taking the house off the market and engaging a different property manager (who has good reviews).

Left the property in far better condition than when we first moved in. Moved interstate and continued to pay our lease out every week without fail and maintained the property while we were away had the gardens done and house professionally cleaned before our lease was up and they trying to screw us because we’re not in the state Absolute bunch off crooks they are stay away from this lot they are very welcoming when they are trying to get your business but the total opposite when it’s time to leave.

Stay away from this agency. Even their advert says "even the tenants are happy" (or words to that effect), guess what Seachange, tenants are your clients and keeping them happy should be your goal. Also despite a number of issues identified with the state of the property (especially the garden) in the pre inspection report, the agent (Karen) still told us the garden was unsatisfactory and would be charging us to get it done. The garden was left far better by us than it was given to us. Similarly, the house was not cleaned when we moved in and this was noted, and then the same agent told us the carpet was not satisfactory even though we had it professionally cleaned. So a complete double standard by this agency from the beginning which fits their ad - treat the tenant like crap. Do not use this agency.
